The Sutiaba tour shines a new light on the history of Leon. It’s so interesting to learn about the struggles of the natives, and it’s not something you find easy in tourist books.
Wil is an excellent tour guide. He has an extensive and intimate knowledge of Leon and the Sutiaba. He speaks very good English, and can answer about any question you could have. On my tour, he was punctual, patient, and even adapted to include the visit of a special event taking place in the barrio for la semana santa. I greatly recommend!
I got to know Wil 12 years ago through the Salzburg-León city partnership in Nicaragua, when I worked with him on site for six months. Through him I learnt a lot about Nicaragua and got to know León and especially Sutiaba very well. Wil is an excellent guide, I appreciate him as a person with his pleasant and funny manner. Wil has an incredible knowledge and great enthusiasm for his country and especially for the Sutiaba district. Probably my most impressive experience with him was the joint 'marcha al Fortín de Acosasco' - a very important moment in the history of the Nicaraguan revolution.
